Day 14 of the Sydney 2000 Olympics Game

2 more days to go, then it will come to the farewell.  I also finished my volunteer work in theory in the ORTA headquarter, although I've only worked 5 shift, and just stayed inside the SOCOG building cannot have too much excitment as those people who work outside, but I certainly love to be a volunteer again if I got chance.  Not because of the uniform which I heard getting quite expensive now, nor the free ticket, cinema voucher, pins, free transport etc etc, but the feeling of getting involve and contribute the game and make it happened.  The feeling is difference between a volunteer and a paid worker who both work for the game.  Thanks for all people that I've met in ORTA, especially Lysette, who is a very very nice person, and she is the manager. :-)

Oh well as 9 out of 10 of the newspaper articles are about the game (no other news aroudn the world, and only news about Australian athletes), there're quite a lot of articles that I think we can share here:
- Confused tourists are keeping volunteers at Tourism NSW amused with odd requests.
Many visitors to Sydney are asking why they don't see kangaroos on the city streets, while the others want to know where they can purchase a real koala.  One of the best requests so far has been on how long it would take to walk to Gosford to see the reptile park.
(I beg need a week non stop ???)
Daily Telegraph

- If Cathy Freeman and Ian Thrope have a baby .. could it run on water??
The Australian

Which one do you prefer??

The boxing kangaroo
